What's occuring...
'What’s going on' Marvin Gaye quite rightly said… well it has all been a bit crazy at swap towers of late. You see it has been well very higgledy piggeldy with career changes, job swaps (no pun intended) and various shenanigans it has meant that we have been playing a lovely supporting role to Swapaholics rather than hosting swaps ourselves.
What does this mean might ask and wonder… well it means that we have some things that are on the back burner… but, but, but we will be back with something later this year; and we will be working on a series of mini swaps in conjunction with some other events.
So continue watching this space and things will start jumping off once again! xoxoxo
Collaboration – We love working with other people, however time and experience being both 20/20 and hyper critical mean that we are super, super particular about who we get involved with. We pick our partners for collaboration the way you should pick husband, wife, girlfriends, boyfriends* (delete as appropriate) as carefully as possible! If you would like be involved with anything that we are working on – we need to get it in a proposal, that you must sign in your own blood and promise us your first born in case things fall apart. But on the real – fill out an events proposal and we can take it all from there!
Swap this Sunday...
Our dearly beloved sister in swaps... swapaholics is going to be a great way to kick off the new year and ease your recessionista blues.
The style savvy Tracey says...
We will be holding our fifth clothes swap on Sunday 18th January 2009, 2pm at Juno Bar, Shoreditch High Street. I truly believe that 2009 is going to be the year where we review our shopping habits and seek out alternatives. What could be better, new to you outfits and money in your pockets. Please bring a minimum of five items of clean (yes I said clean) Clothes, shoes, accessories or anything else that another woman would love. No undies please unless they are brand new and tagged. We will take your items and hang them up whilst you have a drink upstairs. Browsing time begins where everyone can have a look at the items. The swap rounds start, each round you take one item. It more than one person wants an item then we raffle it. There will be a few other changes this time around to ensure everyone plays fair. Any other ideas from the group, please feel free to email me Entry fee is a cool fiver.
I have been promised that the chef will be on form and the food fast and furious for those who want to stay for lunch.

We all wanted to say a massive thank you for all your support through our all important first year... our birthday isn't up quite yet. But, for each and all of you a sincere thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we wish you a very merry Xmas.
Peace, Unity, Fun - love and swaps!!!
We get by with a little help from our friends...
We swapped, we dropped, we sewed, we laughed! We have to give a massive thanks to everyone who was in attended with special thanks to Tracey of Swapaholics who is a demon on the sewing machine and she did an amazing job helping people to customise their brand new swaps! And as always a thanks to our favourite bar Manager: Mario at the Star of the Bethnal Green!
Amaaaaaaaaazing... they just keep getting better and better
